The Beaver Island Rural Health Center TDS phone line is currently working only if a call has been placed from another landline. If a call is placed from a cell phone a recorded message is received indicating 'unavailability' and to 'try again later'.
TDS is aware of this issue, is working on resolving it, and will notify us when service is restored. We are aware of at least one other business this is affecting. If anyone else is having issues, please let TDS know.
If you have a medical emergency, please call 911! 911 is still operational and both Charlevoix County Central Dispatch and BI EMS are aware of the situation.

The BIRHC phone line is still not receiving calls from cell phones, but is now able to receive calls from the mainland and place calls off-Island as well.
