Ruth Ellen Gregg (age 72) peacefully passed away on August 7, 2024 after a short battle with cancer.
Ruthie was born to Phillip and Lillian Gregg on August 20, 1951 in East Lansing. She graduated from Beaver Island Community School in 1970. Ruthie was a dental assistant for over 30 years, but will fondly be remembered for her cake decorating. She also enjoyed hand crafting beautiful items from natural materials.
Ruthie was passionate about sharing the love of Jesus Christ with as many people as possible. She was an avid member of Petoskey Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
Ruthie joins her father, mother, sister Phyllis, and brother-in-law Joseph Moore in Heaven. She is survived by her brother Ronald Gregg (Ann); daughter Angela Mogford (Kevin), grandchildren Victoria, Philip, and Hope; son Michael Himebauch (fiancée Danielle); nephews Phillip Michael Moore (Jessica), and Thomas Gregg; nieces Courtney Moore, Kayleigh Gregg, and Andrea Moore (Tyler Miller); many beloved cousins and friends; two grandnieces; ex-husband David Himebauch.
Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 25 at Petoskey Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1404 Howard Street; lunch/pot luck after.
