Red Cross Blood Drive July 27th
The annual Rita Gillespie Memorial Blood Drive will take place on July 27th from 12:30 to 6:15 PM at the Gregg Fellowship Hall. Again this year the Red Cross is sending extra nurses over to speed the donation process. The â??Rapid Passâ?￾ option allows donors to answer the health questions online before their appointment which also reduces the time donation takes. Each unit of blood collected at the drive could save up to 3 lives including the life of someone you love.

Canâ??t give blood but want to help? As always many volunteers are needed to make the drive happen. We need islanders to load and unload the Red Cross truck, bake cookies, escort donors and staff the canteen and registration stations. Please call Connie Wojan at 448-2379 or Connie Boyle at 448-2491 to help out on July 27th.

All are invited. We will have desserts, lemonade and coffee. You may bring your own beverages. if you'd like to bring a dessert to share, that would be appreciated.
