Tomorrow, Thursday Oct. 1st is the deadline to submit a letter of interest for the open Library Board position for St. James Township. As of yet there have been no applicants, which means we are looking at another month with only 7 members of an 8-member board. This sometimes causes difficulties with reaching a quorum, so if anyone is thinking about it, the board would really like to have someone appointed at the next Township meeting.

All that is required to apply is submitting a letter expressing your interest and outlining your relevant qualifications to Jean Wierenga before the end of the day tomorrow. To be eligible, you must be a resident of St. James township (6 months and a day/year). The time commitment is minimal, with regular meetings on the 3rd Thursday of each month, 9:00-10:00 am.
