We have an old refrigerator and we called Great Lakes Energy about their recycling program,service that hauls away your appliance for free plus you get a $50 rebate for participating. They said they would pick it up from the island and pay us the $50. We were shocked! It has to be a running refrigerator and be at least 10 cu. ft.
We thought we would pass this deal along to other islanders. The number to call is 1-877-296-4319.
It sure beats taking it to the transfer station and paying $50.
