Tree planting and free trees

Wednesday April 29, 3:30 p.m at the school. We have several varieties of trees available for planting around the island. We have White Oaks, Hazelnuts, Chestnuts, Burr Oaks, Black Cherry, Persimmon, and more... Help up plant a few at the school and take some home to plant as well. Bring a shovel!

We have lots of free seedling/transplants trees to give away. Meet at school at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday April 29.

Update on trees: we have white oaks, bur oaks, American chestnuts, red maples, black cherries, serviceberries, American hazelnuts (shrub) and ninebarks (shrub). Shagbark hickories and persimmons will be shipped May 11th. These are all hardy and adaptable as far as growing conditions.
The persimmons are for the adventurous, we are seeing if they will grow here. Hope to see you at 3:30!

They are at Mark and Jacque LaFreniere's home on Paid Een Og. Just come by and pick up what you want.
