Meatless Friday Dispensation for Chili Cookoff

Fish in Greek spells out the message; "Jesus God's son is our savior." On the Fridays of Lent Catholics are encouraged to feed themselves with the food (Fish), which heralds the message. As Jesus who laid down his life on a Friday, is savior of us all.

Unfortunately the Chili Cookoff for our school Sports Boosters is scheduled this Friday.

And Father Jim has given permission for the eating of meat for those participating in this event.

And, for those interested, Gerald LaFreniere usually makes is famous, award-winning VEGAN Chili!

The soup I'm making is vegan as well. :)

Maybe somebody will make a seafood chowder of some sort?

I have one meat ( soup) and one vegan soup...plenty to eat folks.....
