Laurie Sommers & Beaver Island's Musical History

Laurie Sommers presentation last night was given to a full house at the Community Center. Her efforts in preserving the House Party music and writing a book about that music is most appreciated. The audience loved the presentation and we thank her for coming and sharing her knowledge with us. Thanks also goes to Glen Hendrix, and Barry Pischner who shared their talent with us. Glen played tunes on the same violin that once belonged to Pat Bonner and Barry sang ballads about Beaver Island. It was a wonderful evening.
