Don't miss The Appleseed Collective tonight! The best thing to come out of Ann Arbor since Gerald Ford. If you can't remember him, you'll still love the music. Katie Lee doesn't just play the banjo, she seduces it, in a good way. The best $20 you can spend on BI. Worth the trip from Whiskey Island any day. I'll keep my "eye" out for you.

Fantastic show and entertainment last night. If you missed The Appleseed Collective, you can still see them at Blissfest on the 12th. I'll be sailing over to Harbor Springs to catch them again there. I'm working on having them at the Yardarm Public House over here on Whiskey Island when they return to Beaver Island next summer.

Please forgive me, but this is a blatant appeal!
Tomorrow we have an incredible soul blues artist arriving on the Island for a performance.
His name is Curtis Salgado and he won 3 awards at the 2013 Blues Music Awards:
BB King Entertainer of the Year, Soul Blues Male Artist of the Year, and Soul Blues Album of the Year (2nd year in a row)!

Curtis inspired John Belushi to create The Blues Brothers, was co-star of The Robert Cray Band and sang and toured with Roomful Of Blues. He and his band toured with The Steve Miller Band and Curtis spent a summer singing with Santana before being sidelined by serious health issues in 2006. After a full and complete recovery, he has been tearing up concert stages all over the country. This guy is bonafide!

I haven't had the pleasure of hearing Curtis but you had me at Belushi.

Where else can a pirate kick back, enjoy first class entertainment, listen to the blues and no whine of mosquitoes dive bombing your head?
I'm going to skip out on Dammit's Spanish language class to improve my class and culture.

I'll be there, might even bring Dammit so if you hear a squawky "dammit" coming from the back row, don't be offended.

This is the opportunity for all who missed The Appleseed Collective to show BI support for the blues. I'll keep my "eye" out for you.
