The Charlevoix County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating the recent poaching complaint.
This act is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. I am asking everyone to report any suspicious people/vehicles that may be involved in the taking of any animal illegally.
There is currently a $1000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the poaching of this last deer.

In your posting you say the reward is for the poaching of this "last" deer making it sound as though other deer have been poached this winter. Is the Sheriff's office aware of other deer or game that have been poached over this winter? I agree with Richie that it is disgusting and unacceptable when a doe with twins is poached and would like to know if it is an isolated issue of poaching or larger problem.
