From the Beaver Island Food Pantry
Wow!! This has been a busy winter for the Food Pantry!! We are very thankful that we have been able to help many Island families so far this winter---BUT our shelves are starting to look like â??old Mother Hubbardâ??sâ? cupboard! And we can certainly use your help.
We can use just about anything you can think of: canned fruits and vegetables, pasta sauce, pasta, soup, cereal, tuna, rice, chili fixins, taco fixins baking mix or pancake mix, syrup, peanut butter and jelly, mac and cheese, catsup, mustard, other condiments, paper towels, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, laundry and dish detergent, personal hygiene items.
And, of course, cash donations are always welcome.
We are unable to distribute expired or opened items.
There are donation boxes at the school, the community center, the medical center, both airports, Holy Cross Church and the Christian Church.
Thank you very much for your support!!
