Meet "The Beaver Island Reader" Writers 7/9 @7pm!

Join us (almost!) every Monday night at the Community Center for "The Monday Night Series"...a â??uniquely Beaver Islandâ?￾ experience! Featuring skits, poetry, an art presentation, audience participation crime-solving, storytelling, music, and more! All programs in the series are general admission and free will donation.

This Monday, July 9th @ 7pm join us for "Writers' Readings"! A gathering of writers, family, and friends to read and share poetry and fiction excerpts from Volume I of The Beaver Island Reader.

The Island is known for talent in the visual arts and music, and craftsmanship, and in the process of editing Volume 1 of The Beaver Island Reader, Bill Cashman and Charlie Donaldson discovered many great "Beaver Island writers"--here and on the mainland. Some of the participating authors currently on the Island will be on hand--along with copies of the book!

Join us for an informal, revealing and engaging presentation of "Writers' Readings"! Appealing not only to writers--but readers as well!

Coming up:
July 16, 7:30pm: Music-on-the-Porch (at the Beaver Island Historical Society's Mormon Print Shop) featuring a unrivaled variety of good old-and-new-fashioned BI entertainers!

July 23, 8pm: From the Brain to the Brush A visually-stunning presentation by reknowned artist Kay Massini that demonstrates the fascinating creative process, and acknowledges the artist in all of us!

July 30, 7pm: Beaver Island CSI Former Detective Doug Edgar leads us through the analysis and solving of a real-life murder mystery. Intriguing, yet disturbing, this episode is for adults only!
