July 4 Parade:Kids, join us as knomes,trolls,fairies,princes

A couple of BICS school teachers, Chris Heikka and I are gathering to be in the parade to represent the Beaver Island Fairy Garden and Gardens at the Beaver Island Health Center.

BICS summer school kids have been working hard to create props for this event! Please join us!

Any kids are welcome, you don't have to go to school here on the island or be in summer school.

If you have a costume: princess/fairy/troll/knome/animal/butterfly/bird/ anything Robin Hood or Prince Charming esc., bring it! If not, we'll have a few things to dress up in if you wish.

Parents, there will be a faux vine that kids will hold onto to keep us all together.

We're meeting at the school parking lot at 1:15-1:30 and will be lining up to pull into the parade from there.

Though a trailer is planned, kids should expect to be walking from the school down to where the parade turns off main street. There will be adults who stay in the parade with those who want to go the whole way. There will also be adults with those kids who want to stop and watch the parade come back through town.

We will meet parents at the Community Center when the parade is over.

Let's celebrate the Beaver Island community members, BI Health Center, 21st Century Community Learning Center, and Beaver Island Community School for helping create and keep up the Beaver Island Gardens at the Health Center!!
