Beaver Island Michigan

Hi all, some friends and I are going to boat to Beaver Island this weekend from Door County, WI. We were wondering where we should moor for the night. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How are the waters around the island? Anything we should look out for?

Rob, You should be able to make it with a standard chart. For the most part just keep an eye out for shoals around the many islands in this area. Assume you would come North up the East side of Beaver to the harbor area. There is a bell buoy 2 miles out of the harbor to the east, make sure you go around and keep that to your left as you head in towards Beaver Harbor. Other navigational buoys are on your way in, remember, red on right returning!! Good Luck!!
