Tuesday June 1st, Jim Slough a pilot for Island Airways lost his youngest son Ted and his home to fire. A memorial fund to help the family has been started at the Charlevoix State Bank. Donations can be dropped off at at any branch and each of the Island Airways offices have donation boxes. Checks should be made out to the Ted Slough Memorial Fund.

Date or time for funeral services have not been confirmed yet but as soon as we have the information we will post it.

Jim and his family are in our thoughts and prayers.

A memorial service for Ted Slough is scheduled for 10am on Saturday June 5th at the Lighthouse Missonary Church in East Jordan. 07874 Rogers Rd., East Jordan.

Donations for the Slough family can be made to the Charlevoix County Community Foundation for a music scholarship in memory of Ted Slough. The music scholarship is for the Crooked Tree Arts Center and the Northwest Academy of Charlevoix. Send donations to PO Box 718, East Jordan, MI 49727.
