Dad has had so many of his favorite friends & family visit him while he’s been here at my house. But for now we are going to hold off on having any company. Dad is very sick with Heptocellular Carcinoma. He will start treatments on Tuesday & we aren’t sure what the future looks like, but we know he needs quiet & rest. He has LOVED getting all the cards/letters/poems, so please keep them coming. He asks me every day if I have checked the mail yet. Thank you for loving on him & my Mom~they certainly feel it. Tell Edward to expect another card from me. The last one, he's told me, was sent to him when I was in first or second grade when he was in "Nam".

Thank you for all the continued love you have shown my parents, during this rough time. Cancer sucks. Watching what it has done to my Dad, has sucked. But he still has his wit and wisdom and we are laughing and making memories every day. He has loved getting all your cards, so please keep them coming. His favorite part of the day is mail call.

Its been hard to return all your calls & messages, but we did just do an update on the Gofundme. Thank you for your continued kindness to my Dad. He feels your love. He is fighting hard, but the last few days have been difficult on him and he is weak. He still looks forward to mail call every day, so please keep the cards coming. He has some ladies who send cards weekly & we are hoping he has the strength to write them back this week. We love you all ~ The Palmers

From Tara...Dad is (hopefully) getting out of the hospital today and will be coming back to my home on hospice. When he decides he is ready, we will transition his hospice care back to the island. But for now, he wants to stay near his kids & grandkids in Charlevoix. Keep sending him sunshine.
