How can you make a difference in the community of Beaver Island? Better yet, can you think of someone who has or continues to make a difference in our community?

Saturday is National Make A Difference Day.

Next week (Oct. 30 Nov. 4), come into the library and write a post-it note about someone (or yourself) who made a difference in our community (during the 2017 year). Place it on the display. Let's fill it up.

Can't make it in? Call us at 448-2701 and tell us the details. We'll fill it in for you.

Let's pat some folks on the back who try to make a difference in someone's life here on the island.

The Library now has the bulletin board ready for those who you feel have made a difference on Beaver Island this year. Be sure to write down the person's name and how they made a difference. Can't make it to the library? Call and we'll write it for you. Let's fill the board!

I would respectfully suggest Dr. White, Dr. Powers and Ken Taylor. Ken for the generous financial assistance to dental patients that the BIRHC has chosen to turn their backs on.
