Does anyone on the island have experience with encaustic wax painting? I would appreciate some help. Thanks!

[/i][/b]I 've done this with my daughters. We used you tube as a tutorial and it worked very well. The hard part we experienced was the fusing a one layer to the next layer. Practice and patience is a helpful. GOOD LUCK, it was fun.

I'm just beginning to experiment with encaustics myself. I have several good books I'd be willing to loan out, but otherwise am not yet knowledgeable enough to pass on any information. A few years ago Doris Larson and a few other islanders got together to share ideas about encaustic. That might be a good place to start.
