If we had any perch in the harbor they could call it Paradise Perch Pond Light, with "light", as in no perch, being the operative word. With referencing it as the Paradise Harbor Lighthouse, a totally made up name, it has the ring of alternative facts that are becoming our national norm of late.
The Mormons were here a short period of time but left us with too many named land marks. Paradise Bay, being one, had nothing to do with paradise, because paradise was virtually non existent both for Moron followers and Irish during those years.
Whiskey Point has an honest historical basis for its name but not necessarily the best of days for Native Americans on the Island. But then again, don't get me started on the French and British along with their trading the Native Americans with "fire water".

Ya, and there is a rumor that Strang buried his gold on the island. It might be a photo finish to see which they find first, Strang's gold or return of the perch. We do agree on one thing, the more adult beverages consumed, the higher the likelihood of the rumor of finding both gold and perch by the Paradise Harbor Lighthouse.
