Annular Eclipse viewing at the Library

Post by BIDL »

Annular Eclipse on Saturday Oct. 14th!

Stop by the library between 11am and 2pm to participate in our Eclipse events. We will have viewing devices- or bring your own. We have special binoculars for sun viewing that will protect your eyes. We will also have other fun items that help one to see the eclipse without looking directly at the sun... colanders, slotted spoons, pin holes cameras, and many other do it yourself type items. In the event of clouds, or just if you want to see the total annular eclipse- we will be live streaming the event from a site that will be able to see the totality. Other activities include a citizen science through GLOBE to record the temperature of the air during the eclipse. There might be some special "eclipse food" too!
