3/19 - Kevin is STILL MISSING. Entire post has been updated. He was brought to SF Zuckerberg General Hospital by SF PD last night, 3/18. We don’t know why, and he’s since been released . Waiting on calls back from SF PD on that if they’ll even tell us anything. Despite having a missing person report on him, my parents were never contacted (this has happened twice now!!!). It was the hospital officer who called my mom after the fact that he had been there.
It is repeatedly soul-crushing that we feel SO CLOSE yet SO FAR from being able to actually help him thanks to the limitations of our rights.
3/13-3/17- Kevin WAS found but is again missing . Having been arrested for entering a private property with non-malicious intent (confusion), he was subsequently released after a few days in jail and a court hearing. 3/16 my parents arrived in SF. Despite my parents advocating that he needs a medical evaluation for a traumatic brain injury/concussion as well as a psychological assessment to cover all our bases, he was still released. He didn’t recognize my parents when he saw them, and didn’t have any response when they said they had his dog Rahz. All he said to them was “Who are you?! You’re not my parents!” and went running. By the time the police arrived he was gone back into the streets of SF. None of this makes any sense which of course is why we KNOW something is wrong, and that he is operating under vulnerable conditions.
3/12: “Rahz” my brother’s dog was turned into Irving Pet Hospital not too far from where Kevin last used his bank card on 3/11 (Wok Station). A family friend now has Rahz.
3/10: last family contact was at 5:30pm EST immediately after he was in a car accident on the Golden Gate Bridge in SF. Witness accounts confirmed he was able to walk away from the accident with his black Pomeranian, “Rahz.” We are working with the SF police department to complete a missing person’s report. Because he was on a road trip, him not having his car means he’s been without a “roof” since then. We are obviously very worried. We believe Kevin became disoriented following the accident and could have a brain injury/break with reality as these uncharacteristic events unfold.

From Richie...Reconnect complete!! 6:00 pm local time Had a nice visit, dinner and crashed into the motel for the night! Beard needs trimming! Going North to see the redwoods tomorrow, maybe a little golf and home Friday! (Flite!)
