Roy Ellsworth's Plymouth Valiant

Post by BMcCaw »

Does anyone remember what year Roy's Plymouth Valiant with the "push button" transmission was? I think it was a 1963...He loaned it to my friend's Dad back in the early 80's. We took it "tooling"* around the island, listening to Dire Straits on the radio, in the middle of the night, before we had a drivers' license**.

* We didn't know what a Boodle was back then.

OMGoodness.....Deja vu........My stepfather gave us a 1962 Plymouth Valiant with push button transmission that was a pale shade of pink. We named it the Pink Pig. It once stopped working in the middle of 28th St. and Clyde Park, in Wyoming, MI during rush hour traffic. Fortunately got it running and on we went.......but when you filled up the gas tank you also put in a quart of oil. Burned the bejesus out of oil. Thanks for the memories. :D
