Internet browsing security

Post by BobTidmore »

I've been using this browser for over a year an I like it. It has a very effective ad-blocker and also claims to stop others from tracking your web activity. You can also select a feature to stop all "scripts' which prevents auto play videos.

Tip--it has some idiosyncrasies...for example you have to turn off the shields if you want to read the comments from most of the articles and for some sites where you order items it just doesn't work. You can use your old bookmarks on the PC but you can't send them to a mobile device .

I like it but keep my Chrome or Safari current for those situations it will not work.

Works on Mac and Windows machines and mobile devices and I have been able to use the same extensions. There is also a feature to build funds to support some sites using blockchain-based tokens but I haven't figured how it works.

Hi insecure Browsers,
I use brave too. You have to remember to drop shields or configure it to allow java on your https sites like online biil pay, but over all No Ads. You can combine it with the Startpage search engine for even more privacy. Tor browser also works well. It is a bit slower, but more secure.
