Trails Association Cook-Out and Meeting

First of all, a huge tip of the hat to Bill McDonough and his crew of able and hardworking volunteers who cleared Danes Trail on Garden Island yesterday. Years of deadfall and encroaching growth were removed, opening up another beautiful hiking/birding/mountain biking trail for the public to enjoy!

7:00 p.m. - Meeting

The Trails Association will host a cook out and meeting on Thursday September 13. Anyone interesting in learning more about plans and work on archipelago island trails is welcome. A cook out behind the township hall will precede the meeting at 6:00 p.m., followed by a meeting at 7:00. The meeting agenda will include reports on summer planning meetings with the DNR, the feasibility of a bike trail on the South end of the island, progress on erecting directional signs and trail maps, and review of a draft of the Association's long range strategic plan. Future trails work days will be planned. Please join us at this important meeting.
