Become an EMT

Beaver Island EMS is offering an Emergency Medical Technician Course January 23 to June 10, just in in time for Summer.
EMTs are truly on the front line of healthcare, taking care of the sick and/or injured. EMTs are the difference between life and death for many, from holding their hand to your hand being the pump of their heart.

This course is a 192-hour combination of lecture and practical skills, and 40 hours in clinicals approved by Michigan Department of Health and Human Services EMT program. You will learn proper response to medical and trauma related emergencies. Successful completion, makes you eligible to take the National Registry Certification Exam and then become licensed by the State.

Course Dates/Times
Start January 23, 2017
Meets Mondays and Wednesdays from
6pm to 10pm, and every first Saturday
Of the month 7am to 7pm.
Course goes to June 10, 2017 Exam Day
(NREMT Certification pending, usually within
Weeks of class ending)

Course will be held at:
Beaver Island Community School
Tuition
$2000.00, includes books, clinical days,
And NREMT (x1) testing

Program Admissions:
1. Applicants MUST be 18 years or older, H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent, upon completion of the Program
2. MUST be able to participate in class and clinical training sessions
