Here are this week's news and notes from your Resilient Beaver Island master planning project:
Joint Planning Commission Meeting Monday at 2 p.m.
Come to the Joint Planning Commission meeting this Monday, October 24th, at 2 p.m. in Peaine Township Hall to help refine the Action Plan, a key component of the overall Master Plan. The Action Plan is a list of ideas and strategies that was started at the Master Plan Workshop earlier in October.
Also at this meeting, we will be covering the project timeline and next steps. We are looking to have a draft Master Plan complete later this year, with a public open house also held over the winter.

Not everyon is on the Forum...
A large number of community members simply do not peruse this forum at all, or often enough for this venue to be a MAJOR source of news!
So it is, I did see the post in time for the meeting on Monday. I did not see any flyers at the Post Office or Grocery store, where many people do go.
Can the Master Plan include a Public Broadcasting System? It's a shame, I believe more folks would like to be involved, but we can't if we don't know about the meeting times.
