AMVETS Labor Day Breakfast

Donâ??t forget the AMVETS Labor Day pancake breakfast at the Holy Cross Hall this Sunday from 8:00 until 12:00. This is one of our three fundraiser we conduct. Revenues go towards funding an annual scholarship for graduates of the Beaver Island Community School. Over the last 10 years we have given out over $11,000 in scholarships. Additionally we fund the maintenance of the Beaver Island Veterans Memorial park and support local veterans.

Pancakes, scrambled eggs (real eggs!), sausage, fruit cup, coffee, milk, and tea.

Come on by for a great breakfast and help support Island veterans programs.

What are some of the ways AMVETS supports local veterans?

1. We provide financial help when needed for transportation to the mainland for medical issues.
2. This month we'll be working to winterize a veterans home.
