Phragmites Meeting

The contractors doing our herbicidal treatment this year will be starting work Monday, September 14. They will be treating Phragmites (and other invasive plants, with permission) on Beaver Island and a couple of the outer islands. They are from "Wildlife and Wetlands" working through a Sustain Our Great Lakes grant provided by the Conservation Resource Alliance. This is the second year that our treatment has been covered by these grant funds.
The contractors are making themselves available beforehand to answer questions and address concerns. Please come to our meeting at 5:30 on Sunday, September 13 at the Peaine Township Hall.

Today! 5:30...Peaine Township Hall. Bring any questions or concerns to the meeting today, or just drop by to meet the contractors who have been doing such a thoughtful and thorough job with our herbicidal treatment these last two years.
