Donna Gillespie-RIP

Donna Gillespie, beloved wife of Doug has passed after a long illness. She showed what true strength and determination can do through all of this and now has gone to her reward. A good friend to many, a great mom and grandmother and Dougs shining star! Funeral arrangements are pending.

Thoughts and prayers to Doug and girls, Marilyn and Liam and to the rest of Donna and Doug's families. Donna was a great person and I can see her smiling down on us.

We are so saddened by the loss of a great person, Donna. We are praying for Doug, the family and friends who are grieving her loss as we are too.

Donna Gillespie, age 58, of Beaver Island, MI, passed away peacefully with family surrounding her on Monday, June 1, 2015 following a long battle with cancer.
Donna is survived by her husband, Doug Gillespie; daughters, Lanette (Wayne) Leatch, Cristy, Michelle and Stephanie; grandchildren, Isabella, Nolan, Christian, Coby Jr. Aaiden, and Isaiah; brothers, Rodney (Jody) Gardei and Fred Gardei; and sister, Joyce (Gene) Davidson. As well as many sisters and brothers in-law, nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, William and Betty Gardei.
She truly loved everybody and will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday June 6, 2015 at Hamilton CRC, 3596 47th St. Hamilton, MI 49419. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at the church. Memorial contribution can be given to Hospice of Holland. The family is being served by Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home. www.langelandsterenberg.com

Oh, sweet Donna... With your most gentile ways and loving smile - you have been a thoroughly beautiful woman and model to others.

Doug, Michelle, and other loved ones - I hope the grace and strength of Donna will be constantly known by her survivors.

She is simply one of the most kind and accepting people I have met.
