Guess the date, hour and minute the buoy will go through the ice on Paradise Bay, and spring will officially begin on Beaver Island! Oh, and win half the total money collected! Tickets are $5 each or six (yes six) for $20, and are available at the Center, from any PABI Board Member, by calling 231 448-2022, or email iceclassic@tds.net. AND you can still get your tickets at the Winter Wake tomorrow evening...the "Rest in Peace Potluck" starts at 6pm--come one and all!
"The clock is running, the tower is tied to the shore and now we wait for the ice to melt. This year the tower is closer to the shore and that part of the bay usually opens up first when a strong north wind blows the ice out. However with the tower frozen into the ice it will interesting to see how it finally goes into the water." Bob Tidmore, 3/18/15
