Chuck Carpenter-Major Surgery

Chuck (from the Shamrock) has had a very expensive and very major operation at U of M hospital in Ann Arbor yesterday. It was to remove a cancerous tumor on or near his tongue. The surgery was much more extensive than expected leading to a long recovery time. There will be many bills large and small. Although the University very graciously accepted any money he had in his life savings there will be significant expenses all around as one might imagine.
