YOGA continues!

Post by BI Community Center »

Join instructor Sue Screven as she rounds out the Beaver Island summer Yoga program! Sue will lead an additional four sessions on 9/3, 5, 8 & 10. if you've not yet taken the opportunity to join us, it's not too late. Every class is meant for 'every body'. No need to feel you have to bend like a pretzel...yoga is so much more!

No experience needed for any class, just a willingness to be playful and try the postures! If you are an active practitioner you can play with your own variations.

Suggested donation of $10 to the Community Center ~ donations are privately dropped in a closed box.
All donations are appreciated and go to continuing valued programs (including Yoga) at the Community Center!

WEDNESDAYS 9/3 & 10 ~ RESTORATIVE YOGA ~ 9:30 - 10:45 a.m.
Amazing benefits for 'restoring' the body and mind using relaxing seated (mostly) postures for longer periods of time while softening the muscles and encouraging passive stretching to work on the deep, dense connective tissues. With continued practice these postures help bring balance & flexibility to the body. We invite you to take the opportunity to nurture your body, mind, and soul. BRING a firm pillow and/or large towel if possible.

FRIDAY & MONDAY, 9/5 & 8 ~ BASIC VINYASA ~ 9:30 - 10:45 a.m.
We will flow (Vinyasa) from one posture to another. Posture muscle action will be explained giving students a greater opportunity to feel comfortable in attending this and other yoga classes. We will flow through a sequence that will help energize your whole body.
Great opportunity for any skill level to learn more about the postures & alignment.
