Terri, is it true that the Beaver Island bank will be installing a drive thru window?

Here's what I heard: The township is building an interchange from Jumbo Lane ( Pine St. ) to the back of McDonough's Market. The bottle and can return will be moved to just inside the back overhead door at the market. The beer and liquor isle will be widened and another overhead door added at the front. The Post Office is to be moved to where the bottle return was and the area will be paved through to the new Charlevoix State Bank drive up window. Now we can zip into town, pick up a 30 of Natty and a fifth of Popov, stop at the Post Office and the bank in one quick trip. This new route will also allow locals to avoid the livestock and bicyclists encountered on Main Street during the summer months. Bring your ideas and comments to the next meeting of the Township Board.
