The students of Sport Taekwondo are going to be having a tournament next Saturday - March 22nd, beginning at 10am at the school gym. There will be forms, weapons, sparring and board breaking as well as synchronized forms and synchronized weapons.
This will be a chance for the students to prepare and practice for the Michigan Cup, as well as a fundraising event to help cover our costs to travel to the tournament in September.
Admission is a free-will donation and there will be an opportunity to sponsor a student during the board-breaking competition. If the student you sponsor wins in their category, you will win a t-shirt.
Concessions will be available.
If you are a martial artist and would like to compete, please call 2670 for a registration form. Registration closes on Friday, March 21st. There will be no walk-in registrations.
If you would like to volunteer and help out on the day of the tournament, please call Sue on 2670. We can always use the help!

Thank you all for your generous support yesterday at the tournament. We were all very overwhelmed by both the turnout and your generosity.
Special thanks to our referees and judges: Dusty, Frank, Gerry, Jason and John as well as Deb Robert for keeping track of the scores! Some of the results were extremely close with one-one hundredth separating one student from another.
While we have a couple of expenses to pay for, it looks like we made about $700. Thank you all so very much. That goes such a long way towards the costs of transporting the students to the tournament in September.
