On Tuesday April 23 at 11:00 AM the Fish and Wildlife Service along with the Beaver Island Wildlife Club will conduct a Cormorant Harassment training program at Peaine Township Hall. If you would like to help in this endeavor please attend.

Cormorant Harassment Report from Whiskey Island:
This year's harassment program is underway and appears to be successful. I am posting signs on all remaining trees making derogatory and disparaging remarks about cormorants.
Being sensitive birds, they know where they are not welcome and appear to be flocking to other islands.
