SUMMER POSITIONâ??Beginning May 1, 2012

PHRAGMITES ADMINISTRATOR
Responsibilities Include:
â?¢ Familiarity with past and current Phragmites objectives for archipelago
â?¢ Office work related to permission slips, filings, and letter mailings
â?¢ Returning calls and e-mails to those with questions
â?¢ Meeting with interested people at Township Hall and public updates to news media
â?¢ Coordinating a shoreline survey and reporting findings
â?¢ Overseeing targeted timeline for herbicide contractor bid
â?¢ Preparing for contractor visits and assisting as needed
â?¢ Assisting Township officials, residents, & visitors with Phragmites information, reports, and communications
â?¢ Interest in working with volunteer groups to control invasive species
â?¢ Willingness to participate in grant opportunities
â?¢ Work collaboratively with off island agencies and organizations.

This position is currently estimated to be around 8 hours a week and the hours flexible. The rate of pay is between $15 and $20 an hourâ??depending on qualifications and experience.
