Linda's mother, Jane Anderson, died Friday, July 18th after a massive stroke and cardiac event on July 7th. Jane dearly loved Beaver Island and spent as much time here as possible before she became too ill to do so. She loved the ferry rides and was here for the christening of the Emerald Isle, help...

Roland Thank you for advising this through the Forum. I had heard the news via the Christian Church. Your father will be missed by many of us on the Island.

I personally feel they need to be all but eliminated. They are not a pretty site and completely take over their determined nesting area to the detriment of all else. While I am not a true sport fisherman we have to protect our fisheries.
