If you ever thought, "That can't happen to me..."

then you need to come talk to Chris Sorensen at the BIC Center tomorrow morning at 10am!

Ransomware, hackings and identity theft are everyday news it seems.
Most of us know someone who's email or facebook was hijacked. Many of us have experienced fraudulent credit card activity. And who hasn't forgotten their password?

Chris Sorensen, Senior Cyber Security Researcher for GE Digital brings his 10-plus years as a Cyber Security Specialist to Beaver Island for some informational sessions with the BICS students (at the school), and Island Seniors and community at large (at the BIC Center).

In short, he teaches people how to prevent identity theft, secure their home networks, avoid online scams, and protect themselves and their family on the internet.

Chris speaks regularly about technology issues and writes a monthly column for the local newspaper. â??Tech Timeâ?￾ features tips and tricks for keeping your family safe and secure on the Internet. See some examples here: http://www.trentontrib.com/?s=Sorensen

Join us Thursday, 5/25 at 10am in the BIC Center Hangout for a valuable presentation on online safety and protection.
