Beaver Island Community School would like to announce a new scholarship available to school alumni. It is the â??Kathleen (Kitty) McNamara Scholarshipâ?￾. Kitty was a teacher, principal and superintendent for Beaver Island Community School for over 30 years. She was dedicated to seeing students succeed in education, lifelong. In honor of her retirement, a scholarship fund was established in 2013 to provide educational opportunities for graduates of Beaver Island Community School who have, at minimum, completed their freshman year of college and continue to further their education at an accredited two- or four-year college or university in any field of study.

March is usually our heavy snow month! Big storms and lots of windy snow sculpting.

The Food Pantry will once again be hosting a 'soup bar' at the Holiday Bazaar on Sunday, Nov. 17 from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Gregg Fellowship Center. Join us for lunch and a cozy bowl of soup with your donations helping the Food Pantry.
